How we started (the problem we set out to solve)

 

We kept hearing the same story from women around us: “I need shoes that look right in the room and still feel good at 6 pm.” Many had tried to choose between elegance and comfort—or between fast fashion and values. That trade‑off didn’t make sense to us.

So in 2022, in Brisbane, we began building an alternative: modern silhouettes with engineered ergonomic support, crafted in small batches, and produced to demand where possible. The goal was simple: luxury that respects time—how pieces are made, how they feel, and how long they last.

 

Founder moment — the spark: After a twelve‑hour day that ran from strategy meetings to a train commute and dinner with friends—in heels that looked right but hurt—came the question that started éllementa: what if real luxury respected the miles women walk each day?
